Kastria (KASS-tree-uh). A present-day Greek village in the district of Achaia, site of the "Cave of the Lakes". Here it was that the daughters of King Proetus of Tiryns, driven mad by the goddess Hera, were said to have taken refuge before being cured by the seer Melampus. |
